But maybe your technique isn’t as good as it should be, so you will never reach your fulllest potential.⁣ ⁣ So what should you do?⁣ ⁣ ❌ DON’T BOUNCE THE WEIGHT: A really common mistake is not controlling the movement. If you start to bounce, your achilles will do most of the work, which is not the purpose of the exercise.⁣ ⁣ 🧠 FOCUS ON MIND MUSCLE CONNECTION: Thinking into your calves can help to fully contract the calf muscles.⁣ ⁣ ✔️ INCREASE FREQUENCY: The calves are a muscle that recovers relatively fast. Training them more frequently 3-4 times a week will help.⁣ ⁣ ⏸ PAUSE AT THE BOTTOM: Thus you will be able to work with your calf muscles only.⁣ ⁣ 🦶🏻 BALANCE WEIGHT ON THE BIG TOE: In order to fully contract the calf, it’s absolute necessary to focus on this point.⁣ ⁣ Furthermore you should increase your sets, doing only 3 sets two times per week is definitely not enough volume to grow your calves.
